REGULATION

(Relating to applications for licences)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Security (Protection) Industry Act 1985, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 July 1991.

Amendment

2. The Security (Protection) Industry Regulation 1986 is amended:

(a) by omitting clause 9 (2) and by inserting instead the following subclause:

(2) The Commissioner may issue a duplicate licence whose duration is equal to the unexpired portion of the duration of the existing licence:

(a)

on payment of the fee for that purpose specified in Schedule 5; and

(b) on surrender of the existing licence.

(b)

by omitting from Schedule 4 item 6 under the heading “Class 1 or Class 3 licence”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Security (Protection) Industry

Regulation 1986 by no longer requiring:

(a) an applicant for a Class 1 or Class 3 licence to produce a recent photograph with the application; or
(b) the holder of a Class 1 or Class 3 licence whose particulars shown on the licence have changed to produce a recent photograph before a duplicate licence (showing the new particulars) may be issued.
