(Exempting certain persons from the operation of the Act)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Security (Protection) Industry Act 1985, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Security (Protection) Industry Regulation 1986 is amended by

inserting at the end of Schedule 1 the following item:

5.  Persons who are employed by Australasian Correctional Management Pty Limited for the purposes of the administration and security of Junee Correctional Centre.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Security (Protection) Industry Regulation 1986 so as to add to the list of persons who are exempt from the operation of the Act persons employed by the company which is to manage the Junee Correctional Centre. The employees are exempted only in so far as they are employed in the administration or security of the Centre.
