I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002 .15 December 2015

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Security and Investigations Agents Regulations 2015 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 28 December 2015. 3InterpretationIn these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears – Act means the Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002 . 4Infringement offences and penalties (1)  The offences against a section of the Act specified in column 2 of Schedule 1 are prescribed as infringement offences. (2)  The penalty specified in column 3 of Schedule 1 in relation to an infringement offence is the penalty payable under an infringement notice issued and served for that infringement offence. 5FeesThe fees set out in Schedule 2 are the fees prescribed for the purposes of the Act. EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations –

(a) prescribe infringement offences for the purposes of the Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002 and the penalties payable for those offences; and (b) prescribe certain fees payable under that Act; and (c) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Security and Investigations Agents Regulations 2005 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
