A n Act to amend the Second-hand Dealers and George V,
Collectors Act, 1906, in certain respects. No. 17.

by and with the advice and consent of tlie Legis lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by tbo autliority of the same, as follows :—

lo This Act may be cited as tbe “ Second-hand short title.
Dealers and Collectors (Amendment) Act, 1926.”

by inserting at the end of section four the seo. 4. made by or on bebalf of an officer of tbe police force a license may be granted and issued, or renewed, or the transfer of a license may be permitted by tbe clerk of the court of petty sessions to which the application is made ” ;

by omitting from section nineteen the words ,<ec. lo. be kept in such court, and shall send a copy of such entries ” and by inserting in lieu tliereof tbe words “ send particulars of such license, permit, or cancellation ” ;

| by inserting in paragraph three of section See. 24 (3). the words “ or second-hand dealers ” ; |

| George V, | (ii) by inserting at the end of the same paragraph after the word “ business ” the words and without limiting the general ity of the power conferred by this section in particular, the requirements to be observed by a second-hand dealer with respect to carpenters and other tradesmen’s tools purchased hy him ” ; |

| Sec. 24. | (hi) by omitting from the same section all words after the words “ all such regulations shall ” and hy inserting in lieu thereof the words— |
“ (a) he published in the Gazette ;
“ (h) take effect from the date of such
puhlicaiion or from a later date to
be specified in the regulations;
“ (c) be laid before both Houses of Parliament within fourteen sitting days if Parliament is in session, and if not, then within fourteen sitting days after the commence ment of the next session.
If either House of Parliament passes a resolution of which notice has been given at any time within fifteen sitting days after such regulations have been laid before such House disallowing any regulation or part thereof, such regulation or part thereof shall thereupon cease to have effect.”
