Seat of Government (Administration) (Amendment) Ordinance 1984

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Seat of Government (Administration) Ordinance 1930

Short title

1.  This Ordinance may be cited as the Seat of Government (Administration) (Amendment) Ordinance 1984.1

Principal Ordinance

2.  In this Ordinance, “Principal Ordinance” means the Seat of Government (Administration) Ordinance 1930.2

Administration of Ordinances

3.  Section 10 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a)by omitting from sub-section (1) “Minister of State for Territories and Local Government” and substituting “Minister of State for Territories”; and

(b)by omitting from sub-section (4A) “Minister of State for Education and Youth Affairs” and substituting “Minister of State for Education”.

Second Schedule

4.  The Second Schedule to the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from the heading to Part 4 “MINISTER OF STATE FOR EDUCATION AND YOUTH AFFAIRS” and substituting “MINISTER OF STATE FOR EDUCATION”.
