Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Act 1940.

Clothing allowance

1. Regulation 38a of the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from Column 3 of the table in subregulation (1) “6.20”, “4.00” (wherever occurring) and “2.90” (wherever occurring) and substituting “6.70”, “4.30” and “3.10” respectively;

(b) by omitting from subregulation (2) “$6.20” and substituting “$6.70”;

(c) by omitting from subregulation (4) “$75.40” and substituting “$80.60”.

Application

2. (1) The amendments made by paragraphs 1 (a) and (b) apply in relation to instalments of allowance payable after 15 November 1989.

(2) The amendment made by paragraph (1) (c) applies in relation to any amount payable after 15 November 1989.
