I, KEVIN JAMES ANDREWS, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, make this Notice under paragraphs 28(6A)(b), 49(6B)(b), 50(2B)(b) and subsections 66(4B) and 83A(5) of the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1992.

1. Name of Notice

This Notice is the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation (Specified Rate per Kilometre) Notice 2005 (1).

1. Commencement

This Notice commences on registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments (FRLI). 

1. Specification

For paragraphs 28(6A)(b), 49(6B)(b), 50(2B)(b) and subsections 66(4B) and 83A(5) of the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1992 (the Act), I specify that the rate per kilometre to apply for the purposes of paragraphs 28(6A)(b), 49(6B)(b), 50(2B)(b) and subsections 66(4B) and 83A(5) are those rates specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 appearing opposite the dates in column 2.
