I, WILLIAM PATRICK DEANE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Science and Industry Research Act 1949.

1Name of Regulations

 These Regulations are the Science and Industry Research (Gifts, Trusts and Contracts) Regulations 2000.

2Commencement

 These Regulations commence on gazettal.

3Science and Industry Research (Contracts) Regulations — repeal

 Statutory Rules 1990 No. 330 is repealed.

4Definition

 In these Regulations:

Act means the Science and Industry Research Act 1949.

5Acceptance of gifts etc and holding money etc on trust

 For subsection 9A (1A) of the Act, the amount is $5 000 000. 

6Payment or receipt of consideration for contracts

For section 50 of the Act, the amount is $5 000 000.
