Schools Authority (Amendment) Act 1998

An Act to amend the Schools Authority Act 1976

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Schools Authority (Amendment) Act 1998.

1. Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette.

1. Principal Act

In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Schools Authority Act 1976.1

1. Interpretation

Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the definitions of “Chairperson”, “Committee” and “member”.

1. Functions of Authority

Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (3A).

1. Repeal

Division 2 of Part III of the Principal Act is repealed.
