School Education Amendment Regulations

(No. 2) 2016

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the School Education Amendment
Regulations (No. 2) 2016.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b)	the rest of the regulations — when the Public Health
(Consequential Provisions) Act 2016 section 5 comes into operation.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the School Education
Regulations 2000.

4.             Regulation 28 amended

In regulation 28 delete “Executive Director of Public Health”

and insert:

Chief Health Officer

The note at the end of regulation 29(2) is to read:

Under the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1911 section 337(1) a child attending a school is required to submit to a medical or physical examination by a medical practitioner or any nurse authorised by the Chief Health Officer, and the parents or guardians of the child are required to permit such

examination as the medical practitioner or nurse deems necessary.
