School Education Amendment Regulations 2018

Regulations 2000.

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

I.   Citation

These regulations are the School Education Amendment

Regulations 2018.

2.   Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2— on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on 1 January 2019.

3. Regulations amended

These regulations amend the School Education

4. Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3(1) insert in alphabetical order:

Australian Immunisation Register means the register
called the Australian Immunisation Register kept under
the Australian Immunisation Register Act 2015
(Commonwealth) section 8;
current, in relation to a vaccination status certificate
for an enrollee or a child, means a certificate issued not
more than 2 months before the most recent date of an
application for enrolment of the enrollee or child;
vaccine preventable notifiable infectious disease has
the meaning given in the Public Health Act 2016
section 4(1);
vaccination status, of an enrollee or a child (as the case

may be), means the status of—

(a)	having been immunised against, or having
acquired immunity by infection from, all or specified vaccine preventable notifiable infectious diseases; or
(b)	not having been immunised against, and not

having acquired immunity by infection from, all or specified vaccine preventable notifiable infectious diseases;

vaccination status certificate means an extract of an
entry in the Australian Immunisation Register;

5.      Regulation 6 amended

(1)	In regulation 6(1)(d) delete "ceases." and insert:
ceases;

(2) After regulation 6(1)(d) insert:

(e) the vaccination status of the enrollee as
recorded on the current vaccination status
certificate for that enrollee.

6. Regulation 138 amended
After regulation 1 38(a)(iii) insert:

(iv) the vaccination status of the child as recorded on the current vaccination status certificate for that child;
