Scaffolding and Lifts Regulations Amendment

Subordinate Law 1999 No 19

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following regulations under the Scaffolding and Lifts Act 1957.

  1. Commencement

    These regulations commence on the day they are notified in the Gazette.

  2. Regulations amended

    The regulations in force under the Scaffolding and Lifts Act 1912 of New South Wales in their application in the Territory are amended as set out in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE     (See reg 2)

Amendments of Scaffolding and Lifts Regulations

New regulation 1—

Before regulation 3 insert the following regulation in Part 1:

  1. Name of regulations

    These regulations are the Scaffolding and Lifts Regulations 1950.”.

Regulation 3 (definition of the Explosives Act, 1905)—

Omit the definition.

Subregulation 84 (1)—

After paragraph (a) insert the following paragraph:

“(aa)However, subregulations (5), (7) and (9) do not apply in relation to the use of explosives within the meaning of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 1991.”.

Subregulations 99 (24), 100 (27) and 101 (25)—

Omit the subregulations.

Part 9—

Repeal the Part.

Sixth Schedule—

Repeal the Schedule.
