AN ACT to amend the " Scab-in-Sheep Ordinance, 1866."
[ 16th January, 1871. ]
| WHEREAS, by the eighth Section of the " Scab-in-Sheep | Preamble. |
| Ordinance, 1866, it is, among other things, enacted that any Inspector, on being satisfied that infection exists among any sheep, shall issue as of course to the owner of such sheep a compul- sory license to keep such infected sheep, for the purpose of cleansing the same, in quarantine for six months, or until declared to be clean; and whereas it is advisable that the term of such compulsory license should be reduced to two months; Be it therefore enacted, by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, and by authority of the same, as follows:— |

directed to be issued by the eighth section of the " Scab-in-Sheep Ordinance, 1866," shall be limited in duration to a period of two months from the date of the issue of such license, and all licenses at present in operation shall terminate at the end of two months from the passing of this Act.
2 THIS Act may be cited for all purposes as the " Scab-in-
Sheep Ordinance Amendment Act, 1871."
