An Act to amend The Scab Act, 1885,' and to prevent

the spread of Disease in Stock.

[Assented to 26th November, 1888.

HEREAS owing to the beneficial operation of The Scab And whereas it is desirable to suspend the operation of the said Act in some Districts, and to provide for the more efficient working of the Law relating to Stock :

1. The Governor may from time to time by writing under his hand,

appoint a Chief Inspector of Stock, and such other Inspectors as he

may consider necessary.

2. The Chief Inspector shall exercise a general supervision over the said Inspectors, and over the working of The Scab Act, 1885.' He

effect of any regulations made or to be made under the powers of the Act 43 Vic., No. 23, and shall also exercise a general supervision over all Inspectors or Officers engaged in working or carrying into effect the said Acts and the said regulations. It shall be the duty of every such Inspector and Officer to give information to the Chief Inspector in writing of the passage from the District or Districts under his supervision to any other of all droves, mobs, flocks, or herds of stock, including horse stock, bulls, cows, oxen, heifers, and calves.
