591 ANNO VICESIMO QUINTO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE BEGIN AE No. 65 of 1976 An Act to amend the Sawmills LicensingAct 1936-1974 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 29TH NOVEMBER, 19761 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Sawmills Licensing Act Amendment Act 1976. (2) The Sawmills Licensing Act 1936-1974 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Sawmills Licensing Act1936-1976. 2. Amendment of s. 3. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsection (1) the second paragraph and substituting the following provisions:- Penalty: For an offence by a company-$4000; I n any other case-$1.000.

592 Sawmills Licensing Act Amendment Act 1976, No. 65 Daily penalty: For an offence by a company, $1 000, and in any other case, $100, for each day during which an offence continues after the offender's conviction thereof.". 3. Amendment of s. 5 . Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsection (5) the words " fifty pounds " and substituting the expression " $200 ". 4. Amendment of s. 10. Section 10 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsection (I) the second paragraph and substituting the following provisions:- Penalty: For an offence by a company-$2 000; In any other case-$400. Daily penalty in respect of an offence referred to in paragraph (a): For an offence by a company, $400, and in any other case, $100, for each day during which an offence continues after the offender's conviction thereof.". 5. Amendment of s. 12 . Section 12. of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from the second paragraph the words " fifty pounds " and substituting the expression " $200 ". 6. Amendment of s. 14. Section 14 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from the second paragraph the words " fifty pounds " and substitutir? the expression " $200 ". 7. Amendment of s. 15. Section 15 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (10), omitting the second paragraph and substituting the following provisions:- Penalty: For an offence by a company-$2 000; In any other case-$400. Daily penalty in respect of an offence referred to in paragraph (a): For an offence by a company, $400, and in any other case, $80, for each day during which an offence continues after the offender's conviction thereof."; (b) in subsection (11), omitting the words "fifty pounds" and substituting the expression " $200 ". 8. Amendment of s. 16C. Section 16c of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " fifty pounds " and substituting the expression " $200 ". 9. Amendment of s. 17. Section 17 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " fifty pounds " and substituting the expression " $200 ". 10. Amendment of s. 19. Section 19 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from provision (g) of subsection (1) the words " one hundred pounds " and substituting the expression " $400 ".
