Satellite Communications Regulations

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Satellite Communications Act 1984.

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Satellite Communications

Regulations.

Interpretation

2. (1) In these Regulations, "the Act" means the Satellite

Authorised Version C2004L06126 registered 28/12/2022

Communications Act 1984.

(2) In these Regulations, a reference to the Postmaster-General of New Zealand shall be read as a reference to the New Zealand Minister of the Crown appointed to be Postmaster-General or to another Minister of the Crown acting for and on behalf of that Minister.

Eligible person for the purposes of section 18 of the Act

3. The Postmaster-General of New Zealand is declared to be an eligible

person for the purposes of section 18 of the Act.
