This order is the
This order comes into operation immediately after the
(1) In this clause —
(2) The quantity of sandalwood that may be pulled or removed from Crown land and alienated land during a relevant year is limited to a total of 2 500 tonnes, of which no more than 1 250 tonnes may be living sandalwood.
(3) The quantity of sandalwood that may be pulled or removed from Crown land and alienated land during the relevant half year is limited to a total of 1 250 tonnes, of which no more than 625 tonnes may be living sandalwood.
(4) Subclauses (2) and (3) do not apply to sandalwood grown on a plantation.
(5) In calculating the number of tonnes for the purpose of subclause (2) or (3), the following is not to be included —
(a) leaves;
(b) bark;
(c) branches that have a diameter of less than 25 millimetres at the larger end, when stripped of bark.
4. Orders repealed (1) The
Sandalwood (Limitation of Removal of Sandalwood) Order 2015 is repealed.(2) The
Sandalwood (Limitation of Removal of Sandalwood) Order 1996 is repealed at the end of 30 June 2016.
