Btheand eLegislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1.

This Act may be cited as the Sandalwood Act Amend- ment Act, 1934, and shall be read as one with the Sandal- wood Act, 1929 (No. 27 of 1929), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Amendment or s 5.

2.

Section five of the principal Act is repealed and a new section is inserted in lieu thereof, as follows:-

Meaning of

5. For the purposes of this Act the word "Sandal-

"Sandalwood."

wood" means and includes the wood of any tree of the genera Santalum or Fusanus, and any other species of aromatic wood which is or may be used as a substitute for sandalwood.
