REGULATIONS UNDER THE SALES TAX (EXEMPTIONS

AND CLASSIFICATIONS) ACT 19351

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Sales Tax (Exemptions and Classifications) Act 1935.

AMENDMENTS OF THE SALES TAX (EXEMPTIONS AND

CLASSIFICATIONS) REGULATIONS2

1Educational films

 Regulation 4 of the Sales Tax (Exemptions and Classifications) Regulations is repealed.

2Motor vehicles for use by members of the United States Forces

 Regulation 6 of the Sales Tax (Exemptions and Classifications) Regulations is amended–

• (a)

  by omitting from sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (a) “item 114” and substituting “sub-item 114B (4)”;

• (b)

  by omitting from sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a) “sub-item (2) of item 114B” and substituting “sub-item 114B (2)”; and

• (c)

  by omitting from sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (b) “item 114, or sub-item (2) of item 114B,” and substituting “sub-item 114B (2) or (4)”.
