An Act to authorize the Sale of Railways. [Assented to, 9th December, 1864.1
REA$ it is expedient to authorize the Governor to sell
Preamble.

and House of Asscrnbly of thc said Province, in this present | ||
Parliament assembled, as follows: |
1. The (;overnor may sell any railway, or tramway, and any jetty,
Governor may d
station, or works connectrd with the same, the property of the Crown,
or vested in or under the control of the Commissioner of Rail-
ways, or any other person or Board on behalf of the Crown, by
public auction or private contract, and subject to such terms and
conditions as to him may seem meet, and may do all acts which
may beanecessary to vest any railway so sold in the purchaser
thereof,
2. On the sale of any railway, tramway, or jetty, as aforesaid onaae,powers, sc.,
being completed, the person in whom the same shall be for the |
time being vested, shall have the same rights, powers, and rcspon-
sibilities as were possessed by or imposed upon the Commissioner
of Railvays by virtue of the Acts under which the same were vested
in him.
