AN ACT to amend the Sale of Liquor and Tobacco

Act, 1916, and for other purposes.

[Assented to 2nd October, 1964.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1 . (1) This Act may be cited as the Sale of Liquor

and

(2) In this Act the Sale of Liquor and Tobacco

Act No. 39 of Act, 1916, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Sale of Tobacco Act, 1916-1964.

2. The long title to the principal Act is amended by deleting the passage, "to amend the Law relating to the Sale of Fermented and Spirituous Liquors, and" in lines one, two and three.

The repeal by this Act of any of the provisions of the principal Act does not repeal or affect any of the provisions of the Licensing Act, 1911-1963 as those provisions are set forth in that Act as approved for reprint on the twenty-second day of April nineteen hundred and sixty-four and reprinted pursuant to the Amendments Incorporation Act, 1938 and section one hundred and thirty-four of Act No. 39 of 1922.
