AN ACT to prohibit unauthorised Trading in

Human Blood.

[Assented to 13th November, 1963.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Sale of Human

Blood Act, 1963.

Penalty: Two hundred pounds or imprisonment for six months or both.

(2) Where he considers it desirable by reason of special circumstances so to do, the Minister may, by order in writing, authorise a person, subject to such conditions and restrictions as are specified in the order, to buy human blood; and nothing in subsection (1) of this section applies to anything done subject to, and in accordance with, an authority given under this subsection.

4. (1) Subject to this section, a person shall not Selling of

Penalty: Fifty pounds.

(2) Nothing in subsection (1) of this section applies to a sale or agreement to sell to a person who is, or is reasonably believed by the vendor to be, acting subject to, and in accordance with, an authority under section two of this Act.
