Sale of Hazardous Goods Regulations 2010

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Sale of Hazardous Goods Act 1977 .28 June 2010

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Sale of Hazardous Goods Regulations 2010 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 5 July 2010. 3Presiding member of Committee making sale of hazardous goods order is party to review of orderThe presiding member of the Committee that makes an order under section 8 of the Sale of Hazardous Goods Act 1977 is a party to the proceedings on any review of that order under section 9 of that Act.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Justice.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations –

(a) provide that the presiding member of the committee that makes an order prohibiting or placing restrictions or conditions on the sale of a product is a party to the proceedings on any review of that order; and (b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Sale of Hazardous Goods Regulations 2000 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
