Sale of Hazardous Goods (Children's Dart Gun Sets and Yo-Yo Water Balls) Order 2003

The Products Safety Committee makes the following order under section 8 of the Sale of Hazardous Goods Act 1977 .

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Sale of Hazardous Goods (Children’s Dart Gun Sets and Yo-Yo Water Balls) Order 2003 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3InterpretationIn this order – children’s dart gun set means a children’s dart gun set, with or without a target, consisting of – (a) a firing gun; and (b) suction-tipped darts that fit entirely into the small parts test cylinder when tested in accordance with clause 5.2 (small parts test) of the Australian/New Zealand Standard Safety of Toys, Part 1 (AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2002); yo-yo water ball means a ball or other shape, attached to a stretchable cord capable of extending to at least 500 millimetres in length, that is squeezable, soft, synthetic and liquid-filled. 4Prohibition on sale of children's dart gun setsA person must not sell a children’s dart gun set. 5Prohibition on sale of yo-yo water ballsA person must not sell a yo-yo water ball.
