number twenty-seven any person having in cultivation and bearing a vineyard of at least two acres in extent and having obtained from the Colonial Treasurer a license for such purpose may keep and use one still of not more than fifty nor less than twenty-five gallons for the purpose of distilling Brandy for his own consumption from wine or the lees of wine made from grapes the produce of his own vineyard And whereas it is expedient to permit the sale of Brandy so distilled Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most

Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legis lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Any owner of a vineyard who may be possessed of Brandy contained in the nineteenth section of the Act thirteenth Victoria number twenty-seven may apply to the Colonial Treasurer for a permit authorizing him to remove to and place in any bonded w^arehouse any such Brandy And the Colonial Treasurer shall grant such permit on such person so applying executing a bond to Her Majesty in the penal sum of two hundred pounds conditioned that the Brandy speci fied therein shall within the time limited for such purpose % such permit be deposited in the bonded warehouse to which such permit shall authorize such Brandy to be removed. |

Every owner of a vineyard who may distil Brandy under the authority of the said nineteenth section of the Act thirteenth Victoria nuniber twenty-seven shall keep at the place of distillation for the inspection at all reasonable times on demand of any Inspector of Distilleries a book in which shall be entered the date of every occasion on which distillation shall take place the number of gallons of spirits distilled on each occasion and the manner in which the spirits so distilled may have been disposed of and no permit issued under this Act shall be deemed to be a valid permit unless such book shall be kept and submitted to inspection as herein provided. |
