Salaries and Wages Pause (Exemptions) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Salaries and Wages Pause Act 1982.

After regulation 5 of the Salaries and Wages Pause (Exemptions) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Exemptions in respect of certain claims, during the prescribed period, in respect of certain Commonwealth employment

“6. The Australian Conciliation and Arbitration Commission and the Public Service Arbitrator, being tribunals referred to in section 8 of the Act, shall have, during the prescribed period, the powers that would, but for that section, be exercisable by each of those tribunals in relation to each of the following claims submitted to the Public Service Arbitrator:

(a) claim U1060, being a claim to vary Determination No. 10 of 1929 of the Public Service Arbitrator; and

(b) claim CV165, being a claim to vary Determination No. 19 of 1961 of the Public Service Arbitrator.”.
