AMENDMENT ACT

No. 13 of 1987

AN ACT to amend the Salaries and Allowances Act 1975.

[Assented to 25 June 1987]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Salaries and Allowances Amendment

Act 1987.

Commencement

2.     This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives

the Royal Assent.

Section 6B inserted

3. After section 6A of the Salaries and Allowances Act 1975* the

following section is inserted

"

Determinations relating to entitlements of former Premiers,

Ministers and members of Parliament

6B. (1) The Tribunal shall from time to time, as it sees fit, inquire into and determine the entitlements and benefits to be paid or provided to former Premiers of the State, former Ministers of the Crown and former members of the Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council of the State.

(2) Section 6 (2) and (3) applies in relation to a determination under this section.

Any amount that is payable in accordance with a determination under this section shall be paid from the Consolidated Revenue Fund which is appropriated accordingly. ".
