This instrument is the
Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Legislation (Defence Force) Consequential Amendment Regulations 2018 .
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the following:
(a) the
Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975 ;(b) the

Human Services (Medicare) Act 1973 ;(d) the
Military Rehabilitation and Compensation (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Act 2004 ;(e) the
Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 .
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

(4) The following functions of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission under the
Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence‑related Claims) Act 1988 are prescribed functions of the Chief Executive Medicare:
(a) processing claims for payment relating to the provision of pharmaceutical benefits under that Act;
(b) making payments of those claims.

Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence‑related Claims) Act 1988 ”.
Insert:
