1                 Name

This instrument is the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) (Specified Rate per Kilometre) Notice 2020.

2                 Commencement

This instrument commences on the 1 November 2020.

3                 Authority

This instrument is made under subsection 16(6) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988.

4                 Revocation

The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) (Specified Rate per Kilometre) Notice 2019 Instrument No. M15 of 2019 dated 28 March 2019 is revoked.

5                 Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988.

6                 Specified rate per kilometre

For the purposes of the definition of specified rate per kilometre in paragraph 16(6)(c) of the Act, the rate per kilometre is specified to be 68 cents.
