I, MICHAELIA CASH, Minister for Employment, make this declaration under subparagraph (c) (iii) of the definition of Commonwealth authority in subsection 4(1) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

1  Name of Declaration

This is the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Commonwealth Authority) Declaration 2017.

2  Commencement

This declaration commences on 1 October 2017.

3  Authority

This declaration is made under subparagraph (c)(iii) of the definition of Commonwealth authority in subsection 4(1) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (the Act).

4  Declaration

For the purposes of subsection 4(1) of the Act in relation to the definition of Commonwealth authority, I declare that under subparagraph (c)(iii) of that definition that Aboriginal Hostels Ltd (ACN 008 504 587) is a body corporate to which the Act applies.

5 Repeal

Item 3 of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Declaration and Specification) Notice 2007(1) (F2007L02005) is repealed.
