I, WILLIAM PATRICK DEANE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

1Name of Regulations

 These Regulations are the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment Regulations 2001 (No. 1).

2Commencement

 These Regulations commence on gazettal.

 Schedule 1 amends the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations.

 These Regulations are the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations 1990.

  • (1)

    For paragraph (c) of the definition of Entity in subsection 4 (1) of the Act, each person, body, organisation or group of persons mentioned in an item in Schedule 1 is prescribed.

  • (2)

    For the definition of principal officer, in relation to an Entity, in subsection 4 (1) of the Act, the principal officer of an Entity mentioned in column 2 of Schedule 1 is the person from time to time holding or acting in the office mentioned in column 3 in relation to that Entity.
