NOTICE OF DECLARATION
Notice No. ACT1 of 1994
I, Gary Thomas Johns, Assistant Minister for Industrial Relations, hereby declare, with effect on and from 1 July 1994, the following matters for the various provisions of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988, (the Act):
1. For the purposes of subsection 4A(1) of the Act, the Australian Capital Territory is declared to be a Commonwealth authority.
2. For the purposes of subsection 5(13) of the Act, the following body corporate is declared to be a body corporate to which paragraph 5(11)(b) of the Act applies:
Totalcare Industries Limited
3. For the purposes of subsection 5(12) of the Act, the ACT Totalizator Administration Board is declared not to be an authority, body or office to which subsection 5(11) of the Act applies.
5. For the purposes of subsection 5(15) of the Act-
(a)a person who is included in the class of persons referred to in the first column of the following table, being a class of persons who engage in activities at the request or direction, or for the benefit, or in accordance with a requirement made by or under an enactment, of the Australian Capital Territory, or at the request or direction, or for the benefit, of any authority or body established by an ACT enactment, is declared to be employed by the Australian Capital Territory; and
(b)the employment of the person is declared to be constituted by the performance by the person of an act included in the class of acts referred to in the second column of that table opposite to the reference to that class of persons:
