I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Rural Lands Protection (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 October 1993 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act (other than Schedule 7 (1) (c) to the Act) commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to appoint 1 October 1993 as the date of commencement of the uncommenced provisions of the Rural Lands Protection (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 1993 (except for a provision that is to be repealed).
The amendments to be commenced:
| (a) | expand and clarify the functions of rural lands protection boards (including functions relating to membership, rates, stock, noxious animals and noxious insects); and |
| (b) | make further provision with respect to the rights and obligations of owners and occupiers of land (and others) in relation to matters that are, or are related to, functions of those boards; and |
(c) increase the penalties for certain offences.
