(Pig Dogging) Regulation 1998

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989.

Explanatory note

Under Part 9 of the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989, a rural lands protection board for a district may order the owner or occupier of land

within that district to suppress or destroy noxious animals (such as feral

pigs) by any method prescribed by the Rural Lands Protection Regulation
1995 specified in the order.

The object of this Regulation is to remove “dogging” as a prescribed

method for the eradication of noxious animals.

This Regulation is made under the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989, including sections 127 and 217 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Rural Lands Protection Amendment (Pig

Dogging) Regulation 1998.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 April 1998.

  1. Amendment of Rural Lands Protection Regulation 1995

    The Rural Lands Protection Regulation 1995 is amended as set out in Schedule 1 .
