RURAL LANDS PROTECTION ACT 1989—REGULATION

(Relating to the minimum area of ratable land in the district of Cooma)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,
and in pursuance of the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989, has been

pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 January 1993.

Amendment
2. The Rural Lands Protection Regulation 1990 is amended by omitting from Schedule 2 in relation to the district of Cooma the matter

“20” and by inserting instead the matter “10”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Rural Lands Protection Regulation 1990 to reduce the minimurn area of ratable land in the Cooma rural lands
protection district from 20 hectares to 10 hectares.

This Regulation is made under the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989, including

section 217 (the general regulation-making power) and the definition of “ratable
land” in section 3 (1) of that Act.
