RURAL LANDS PROTECTION ACT 1989—REGULATION

(Relating to the interest payable on overdue rates and charges)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,
and in pursuance of the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989, has been

pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Rural Lands Protection Regulation 1990 is amended:

(a)	by omitting from clause 32 (1) (a) the matter “15” and by inserting instead the matter “12.5”;
(b)	by omitting from clause 48 the matter “15” and by inserting instead the matter “12.5”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to reduce the annual rate of interest payable on

overdue rates and charges under the Act from 15 per cent to 12.5 per cent.
