RURAL LANDS PROTECTION ACT 1989—REGULATION

(Relating to ostriches) NEW SOUTH WALES

HIS Excellency the Governor with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Rural Lands Protection Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting

after clause 40 the following clause:

Other stock types for annual returns

40A. For the purposes of sections 57 and 58 of the Act, ostriches are

stock.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Rural Lands Protection Regulation 1990 so that particulars of ostriches are provided to a relevant rural land protection board in annual returns of land and stock (section 57 of the Rural Lands Protection Act 1989) and where information is requested by a board concerning land and stock (section 58 of that Act).
