Industries Research Regulations2 (Amendment)

GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of
the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Rural Industries Research Act 1985.

Principal Regulations
1. In these Regulations, “Principal
Regulations” means the Rural Industries Research Regulations.
Interpretation
2. Regulation 3 of the
Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of “leviable grain
legumes”.
3. Regulation 4 of the
Principal Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:
Prescribed levies and classes of
levies
“4. (1) The levy specified in
Column 2 of an item in Schedule 1 is declared to be, with effect from the day
specified in Column 3 of that item, a prescribed levy.
“(2) The levies specified in Column
2 of an item in Schedule 2 are declared to be, with effect from the day
specified in Column 3 of that item, a prescribed class of levies.”.
4. The Principal
Regulations are amended by adding at the end the following regulation and
Schedules:
Special Research Fund
“7. For the purposes of sub-section
32 (1) of the Act, the following day is specified, namely, 1 April 1986.
