Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, WILLIAM PATRICK DEANE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989.

1.   Commencement

1.1 These Regulations commence on the same day as Part 3 of the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry Act 1997.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 9J (Attachment of buffalo levies)

3.1   Paragraph 9J (2) (a):

Omit “section 5 of the Live-stock Slaughter Levy Act 1964;”, substitute “section 4 of the Buffalo Slaughter Levy Act 1997;”.

3.2   Paragraph 9J (2) (b):

Omit “section 5 of the Live-stock Export Charge Act 1977.”, substitute “section 4 of the Buffalo Export Charge Act 1997.”.

3.3   Paragraph 9J (3) (a):

Omit “paragraph 6C (a) of the Live-stock Slaughter Levy Act 1964;”, substitute “paragraph 5 (a) of the Buffalo Slaughter Levy Act 1997;”.

3.4   Paragraph 9J (3) (b):

Omit “paragraph 10 (a) of the Live-stock Export Charge Act 1977.”, substitute “paragraph 6 (a) of the Buffalo Export Charge Act 1997.”.
