RURAL HOUSING (ASSISTANCE)

AMENDMENT ACT

No. 54 of 1986

AN ACT to amend the Rural Housing (Assistance) Act 1976.

[Assented to 19 November 1986]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with theadvice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Rural Housing (Assistance)

Amendment Act 1986.

Section 3 amended

2. Section 3 of the Rural Housing (Assistance) Act 1976* is amended

in the definition of "holding"

(a) by deleting "or" at the end of paragraph (b);

(b) by inserting "or" after paragraph (c); and

(c) by inserting the following paragraph-

" (d) land in relation to which-

(i)  an approved farmer is the lessee under a lease for special purposes granted under section 116 of the Land Act 1933; and

(ii)  an application by him to purchase the fee simple of the land has been approved under section 117AA of the Land Act 1933; ".
