AN ACT to amend the Rural Housing (Assistance)

Act, 1976.

[Assented to 15th May, 1978.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Housing (Assistance) Act Amendment Act, 1978. and citation.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Rural Short title

(2) In this Act the Rural Housing (Assistance) Act, 1976 is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Rural Housing (Assistance) Act, 1976-1978.

Section 3

amended.

2. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended as to

the interpretation "holding"

(a)

by deleting the word "or" where it appears after paragraph (a) of that interpretation; and

(b)

by inserting the word "or" after paragraph (b) of that interpretation; and

(c)

by adding to that interpretation a para- graph as follows:

(c) land of which an approved farmer is the lessee under a perpetual lease granted for the purposes of the scheme as defined in section 4 of the War Service Land Settle- ment Scheme Act, 1954; .
