Racing and Wagering Western Australia Act 2003

(a)	rules 1 and 2 — on the day on which these rules are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the rules — on the day after that day.

Rules of Wagering Amendment Rules 2016

Made by Racing and Wagering Western Australia with the approval of the Commission under section 120 of the Act.

1.            Citation

These rules are the Rules of Wagering Amendment Rules 2016.

2.            Commencement

These rules come into operation as follows —

3.            Rules amended

These rules amend the Rules of Wagering 2005.

4. Rule 23 amended
In rule 23(1) delete the 'Fable and insert:

Table

Any game of American football or series of games
of American football.
Any game of baseball or series of games of
baseball.
Any game of basketball or series of games of
basketball.
Any game of ice hockey or series of games of ice
hockey.
Any game of rugby league or series of games of
rugby league.
Any game of rugby union or series of games of
rugby union.
Any game of soccer or series of games of soccer.
Any game of tennis or series of games of tennis.

5.           Rule 24 amended

(1)	In rule 24 in the Table delete the item relating tofooti' tipping wager.
(2)	In rule 24 in the Table in the item relating to sports tipping wager:

(a)	delete "not being an Australian Rules Football fixture,";
(b)	in paragraph (c) delete "draw." and insert: tie (if such an outcome is offered).

6.            Rule 25 amended

(1)	In rule 25(1) and (3) delete "footy tipping wagers or".
(2)	In rule 25(4):

(a)	delete "footy tipping wager or";
(b)	delete "(including where the totalisator pool was in respect of footy tipping wagers" and insert:
(including where the outcome of a tie was not offered in the totalisator pool

(c) in paragraph (a) delete "footy tipping wagers or".

Note: The heading to amended rule 25 is to read:

Sports tipping wagers

7. Rule 26 amended
In rule 26(3)(b) delete "footy" and insert:

sports

8.           Rule 27 amended

(1)	In rule 27(l)(a) delete "draw; and" and insert:
tie; and
(2)	In rule 27(2):

(a) in paragraph (a) delete "as a draw, where a draw" and insert:

as a tie, where a tie

(b) delete paragraph (b) and insert:

(b) from one or more score ranges within brackets

of points or goals as determined by the

totalisator operator; or

(c) in paragraph (c) delete "draw" and insert:

tie

9.            Rule 29 amended

(1)	In rule 29(1) delete "soccer" and insert:
a sporting event
(2)	In rule 29(2) delete "soccer -" and insert:
a sporting event -
