Rules of the Supreme Court of the

Australian Capital Territory2 (Amendment)

WE, Judges appointed under sub-section 7 (1) of the Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court Act 1933,hereby make the following Rules of Court under section 28 of that Act.

Commencement

1. These Rules shall come into operation on 1 February 1986.

Principal Rules

2. In these Rules, “Principal Rules” means the Rules of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory.

Interpretation

3. Rule 4 of Order 1 of the Principal Rules is amended by omitting the definition of “the Court of Petty Sessions” and substituting the following definition:

“‘the Magistrates Court’ means the Magistrates Court established under section 18 of the Magistrates Court Ordinance 1930;”.

Further amendments

4. The Principal Rules are amended as set out in the Schedule.
