Royal Military College Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Force Act 1903.

Interpretation

1. Regulation 4 of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended by omitting “Defence Act 1903-1950” from the definition of “the Act” in sub-regulation (1) and substituting “Defence Act 7905”.

Conditions of eligibility of Commonwealth candidates

2. Regulation 5 of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph 5 (2) (d) “Governor-General” and substituting “Minister”.

Selection of Commonwealth candidates

3. Regulation 8 of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting in sub-regulation (12) “, for submission to the Minister,” after “Staff’; and

(b) by omitting sub-regulations (14) and (18).

 

New Zealand candidates

4. Regulation 10 of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting “Governor-General” and substituting “Minister”; and

(b) by omitting “Governor-General of the Dominion” and substituting “Government”.

Foreign students

5. Regulation 10a of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “Governor-General” and substituting “Minister”.

Omission of heading

6. The Royal Military College Regulations are amended by omitting the heading “THE SCHEDULES.”.

Schedule 6

7. Schedule 6 to the Royal Military College Regulations is amended by omitting “Governor-General of the Dominion” and substituting “Government”.
