REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1965.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1965.

Amendments of the Royal Military College Regulations 

1.Regulation 34 of the Royal Military College Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Resignation.

“34. A Commonwealth cadet may be permitted to resign if he satisfies the Minister that circumstances exist which justify acceptance of his resignation and upon payment of the amount specified in the following table in relation to his period of service as a cadet:—

2.—(1.) Regulation 46 of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

(2.) Regulation 46 of the Royal Military College Regulations is further amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the word “sixpence” and inserting in its stead the words “Five cents”; and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (3.) the words “Three shillings” and inserting in their stead the words “Thirty cents”.

(3.) The rate of pay specified in sub-regulation (1.) of regulation 46 of the Royal Military College Regulations, as amended by the last preceding sub-regulation, applies in relation to service as a cadet on and after the twenty-second day of July, 1966.

Allowances.

3.—(1.) Regulation 47 of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (b)the words “One dollar and two cents” and inserting in their stead the words “One dollar nine cents”.

(2.) The rate of allowance specified in paragraph (b)of regulation 47 of the Royal Military College Regulations, as amended by the last preceding sub-regulation, applies in relation to service as a cadet on and after the twenty-second day of July, 1966.
