REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910–1912.

Regulations and Instructions for the Royal Australian Naval Reserve (M).

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910–1912 to come into operation forthwith.

REGULATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVAL RESERVE (M).

Amendments.

Section 1.—Officers.

Regulation 13.—Age for retirement.

After—

“Lieutenants..................................................................................................... 52”

Insert—

“Sub-Lieutenants.............................................................................................. 40”

“Midshipmen................................................................................................... 30”

Section 6.—Pay and Allowances.

Regulation 76.—Funerals and Church Parades.

Cancel Regulation 76 and substitute the following in lieu thereof:—

“76. Attendance at funerals or church musters shall not count for pay and retainer, except that, in the case of members of the Band who are required by the District Naval Officer to attend an approved Naval funeral, pay and retainer for a whole day or proportionate amount for a half-day parade shall be allowed.”
