Rottnest Island Amendment Regulations 2014

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Rottnest Island Amendment
Regulations 2014.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day fixed under the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 2(b).

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Rottnest Island Regulations 1988.

4.             Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3 in the definition of vehicle delete “assigned to it
by section 5(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1974;” and insert:

given in the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 4;

5.             Regulation 43 amended

In regulation 43(1):

(a)	delete paragraph (a) and insert:
(a) a road on the Island is a road as defined in the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 4; and
(b)	in paragraph (b) delete “that Act” and insert:

each road law as defined in that section
