Rottnest Island Authority Act 1987

Rottnest Island Amendment Regulations 2013

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Rottnest Island Amendment
Regulations 2013.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.            Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Rottnest Island Regulations 1988.

4.            Regulation 3 amended

a direction under regulation 34(4); or

In regulation 3 delete the definition of bicycle and insert:

bicycle has the meaning given in the Road Traffic

Code 2000 section 3(1);

5. Regulation 31F amended
Delete regulation 31F(1)(b) and insert:

(b) may be cancelled by the Authority if —

(i)     the authorised user fails to make a payment required by regulation 31E; or

(ii)     the authorised user fails to comply with

(iii) the Authority is satisfied that the
authorised user has committed an
offence under the Act or these

regulations;

6. Regulation 45 amended
Delete regulation 45(1)(a) and insert:

(a) a bicycle; or

7.            Regulation 46 amended

In regulation 46(2) delete "bicycle or other vehicle that is designed to be propelled solely by human power." and insert:

bicycle.

8.            Regulation 48 amended

In regulation 48(2) in the definition of other road users delete
"bicycle or wheeled vehicle that is designed to be propelled
solely by human power." and insert:

bicycle.

9.            Regulation 51 amended

In regulation 51(1)(b) delete "or a wheeled vehicle that is designed to be propelled solely by human power".

10.	Schedule 4 amended

(1) In Schedule 4 after item 28 insert:

29AA.	45(1)	Bringing vehicle on to Island without
permission 200

(2) In Schedule 4 item 30B delete "or other wheeled vehicle".
