862 Roman Catholic Church (Ntn Lands) Vesting Act Arndt Act 1981 Preamble: Whereas The Roman Catholic Church (Northern Lands) Vesting Act of 1941 vested certain lands in The Roman Catholic Trust Corporation for the Diocese of Cairns: And Whereas it is desired that certain other freehold lands in the names of various registered proprietors shall be vested in that Corporation: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same , as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This act may be cited as the Roman Catholic Church (Northern Lands) Vesting Act Amendment Act 1981. (2) In this Act The Roman Catholic Church (Northern Lands) Vesting Act of 1941 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this' Act may be cited as the Roman Catholic Church (Northern Lands) Vesting Act1941-1981. 2. New s. 3A. The Principal Act is amended by inserting after section 3 the following section:- " 3A. Vesting of certain lands in the Roman Catholic Trust Corporation for the Diocese of Cairns. The estate in fee simple in the lands set out and described in Schedule IV and the improvements thereon are hereby divested from the persons who at the passing of this Act are the registered proprietors and shall be conveyed and transferred to and vest in and it is hereby declared always have on and from the issue of the Lettters Patent referred to in section 3 been vested in The Roman Catholic Trust Corporation for the Diocese of Cairns completely freed and discharged from the trusts (if any) under which the same are then held. v The provisions of this Act shall apply in relation to the lands set out and described in Schedule IV as if Schedule IV were part of Schedule I.".
