MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Roman Catholic Church Communities’ Lands Act 1942, make the following Proclamation.

| Explanatory note |
Schedule 2 to the Roman Catholic Church Communities’ Lands Act 1942 contains canonical and corporate names of certain Roman Catholic orders, congregations, communities, associations and societies. By virtue of being listed in that Schedule, each such organisation is a community as defined in the Act and, by virtue of the Act, the trustees for the community become a body corporate and acquire the powers conferred by the Act in relation to property held by them.
The Carmelite Nuns, Parkes and the Discalced Nuns of the Order of our Blessed Lady of Mount Carmel, Dulwich Hill have been voluntarily wound up and have been replaced by the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, Varroville.
The objects of this Proclamation are:
| (a) | to add the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, Varroville and the corporate name of the trustees of that order to Schedule 2 to the Act, and | |||

This Proclamation is the Roman Catholic Church Communities’ Lands Amendment (Trustees of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, Varroville) Proclamation 2010.
2 Commencement
This Proclamation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Roman Catholic Church Communities’ Lands Act 1942 No 23
(1) Schedule 2 Omit the matters relating to the Carmelite Nuns, Parkes and the Discalced Nuns of the Order of Our Blessed Lady of Mount Carmel, Dulwich Hill from Columns 1 and 2 of the Schedule.
(2) Schedule 2 Insert in Columns 1 and 2 after the matter relating to Mary Aikenhead
